19th IsDB Global Forum to Drive Digital Islamic Finance

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) announced its 19th Global Forum, scheduled for late 2025, will focus on “Digital Transformation and Financial Inclusion in Islamic Finance.” The event aims to bridge ethical finance with emerging technologies like blockchain and AI, reinforcing principles of transparency and risk-sharing.
Over 1,000 attendees—including policymakers, financial leaders, and innovators from 57 member countries—will explore how digital tools can expand access to Sharia-compliant services, particularly for women, youth, and rural communities. Key agenda items include mobile banking solutions and case studies from successful IsDB-backed projects.
“Technology must serve humanity’s needs without compromising our values,” stated IsDB President Muhammad Al-Jasser, emphasizing the Forum’s goal to align innovation with Islamic finance’s social welfare mandate.
The Forum will also launch a task force to standardize digital Islamic finance frameworks, addressing regulatory gaps. Early registration opens June 1, 2025.
