Trump Pledges to Help Resolve Kashmir After India-Pakistan Ceasefire

US President Donald Trump has committed to working with India and Pakistan to resolve the long-standing Kashmir dispute following a ceasefire after recent clashes, Anadolu Agency reported. He announced plans to substantially increase US trade with both countries. Trump praised their leadership for ending a five-day conflict that caused dozens of casualties.
Pakistan welcomed Trump’s statement, emphasizing that any Kashmir settlement must follow UN Security Council resolutions and respect Kashmiri self-determination. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry thanked the US and other nations for supporting the ceasefire, calling it a step toward regional stability.
The ceasefire came after India conducted military strikes in Pakistan following a deadly attack in Indian-administered Kashmir. The conflict resulted in over 50 deaths on both sides along the Line of Control.
The UN General Assembly president also welcomed the ceasefire as a positive move toward peace. India has not yet responded to Trump’s remarks.
