Quranic Calligraphy Expo in Kashmir During Ramadan

An exhibition featuring Quranic and Islamic calligraphy has opened in Srinagar, located in Indian-administered Kashmir, Iqna reported. Organized by the Tebyan Quranic Institute, the event celebrates the holy month of Ramadan.

The expo commenced on the 23rd day of Ramadan (Monday) and will continue for three days. It showcases works by notable calligraphers, drawing the attention of visitors interested in Islamic and Quranic art. Quranic calligraphy, an artistic form of writing in Arabic script, originated in the seventh century A.D. when it was used to transcribe the Holy Quran onto parchments or papyrus.
