The 12th of Ramadan Marks Anniversary of Holy Prophet’s Brotherhood Pact Among Muslims

The twelfth of Ramadan marks a significant event in Islamic history: the day when the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) established a bond of brotherhood between the Emigrants (Muhajirin) and the Helpers (Ansar), and specifically between himself and Amir al-Mo’mineen Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).

This action is recognized as a symbol of unity and solidarity among Muslims, contributing to the creation of a stable and committed Islamic community.

On this day, under divine command, the Holy Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) established the first brotherhood pact among Muslims from the two tribes of Emigrants and Helpers, subsequently choosing Amir al-Mo’mineen Imam Ali (peace be upon him) as his spiritual brother.

This event significantly strengthened the religious and social bonds among Muslims, realizing the concept of brotherhood in Islam.

Imam Ali (peace be upon him), who was not only a relative of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) but also his spiritual brother, regarded this bond as a symbol of his moral and spiritual superiority.
