FreeMuslim Association condemns suppression and arrest of women during protest in Turkey

The FreeMuslim Association—an international non-violence organization—has strongly condemned the violations against women in Turkey on International Women’s Day, calling for the immediate release of all detainees and an official apology from the authorities.

In a statement received by Shia Waves Agency, the organization cited credible human rights reports confirming that Turkish security forces cracked down on a protest led by women’s rights activists in Istanbul, resulting in the arrest of more than 200 women.

The organization described these actions as authoritarian measures aimed at silencing voices and suppressing rights and freedoms, emphasizing that such practices pose a serious challenge to human rights and constitute a blatant violation of international conventions and standards.
