Iraq is witnessing heavy rainfall and dropping temperatures, with the holy city of Karbala experiencing significant downpours as pilgrims mark the first Friday of the holy month of Ramadan near the holy shrines of Imam Hussein and his brother al-Abbas.
Shia Waves correspondent said that despite the weather, large crowds gathered in the area between the Two Holy Shrines, engaging in prayers and supplications, calling upon Allah to hasten the reappearance of the Imam of the time.
He added that the rainfall added a spiritual atmosphere to the gathering, as pilgrims remained steadfast in their devotion despite the challenging weather conditions.
