Interdisciplinary AI Project Fair Launches in Ankara

The Interdisciplinary Artificial Intelligence Project Fair commenced in Ankara on Thursday, organized by Ankara University to promote collaboration among academia, industry, and public institutions, Anadolu Agency reported. The two-day event attracted notable figures, including Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Mehmet Kemal Bozay and EU envoy to Türkiye Thomas Hans Ossowski.

Bozay emphasized the fair’s potential to enhance Türkiye’s digital transformation, highlighting the need for a balanced approach to regulation and innovation. He noted that AI is crucial for future geopolitical dynamics, particularly concerning mineral resources in Ukraine.

Ossowski discussed the EU’s goal to employ 20 million IT specialists by 2030 and the importance of digital public services. He highlighted Türkiye’s participation in the Digital Europe program as vital for strengthening its digital infrastructure.

Throughout the event, participants explored various AI projects and engaged in discussions regarding AI’s contributions to healthcare, data security, and the broader implications for society and the economy.
