Holy Najaf hosts 4th International Book Fair with participation from 20 countries

The Iraqi holy city of Najaf has inaugurated the fourth edition of its International Book Fair, featuring 200 publishing houses from 20 countries, alongside several local publishers. The event serves as a cultural platform reflecting the city’s intellectual and academic significance.
Government spokesperson Ahmed Al-Fatlawi stated that the fair has attracted a wide range of Arab and international publishers, in addition to prominent Iraqi publishing houses, underscoring Holy Najaf’s role as a center for culture, science, and religion.
Al-Fatlawi emphasized that the fair acts as a meeting point for scholars, researchers, and literary figures, providing valuable academic and research resources, highlighting the local government’s commitment to cultural development, noting that Holy Najaf has hosted over 25 cultural events in recent months.
Running for 10 days, the fair offers visitors access to thousands of titles in literature, philosophy, history, and Islamic studies, along with seminars and cultural activities.
