Business Leaders Call for Centralized AI Centers to Enhance Public Services

At the World Governments Summit in Dubai, Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison emphasized the need for governments to establish centralized AI centers with accurate data to improve public services, Arab News reported.

He argued that unified data is essential for AI models to deliver effective solutions across various sectors, including healthcare and agriculture.

Ellison highlighted the dangers of “data fragmentation,” which AstraZeneca CEO Pascal Soriot also addressed, warning that disorganized information hampers healthcare efficiency. Soriot pointed to climate change and obesity as significant contributors to rising preventable health conditions, advocating for increased investment in preventive healthcare.

Ellison proposed creating a single, secure platform to store government data, allowing AI to provide better insights and responses. He also mentioned the potential for AI to lower healthcare costs and enhance food security. Both leaders stressed the importance of leveraging technology to prioritize early intervention and improve overall quality of life.
