A vessel carrying approximately 65 passengers capsized on Monday near Marsa Dela port, Libya, Dawn Newspaper reported. The Pakistani Foreign Office announced that its embassy in Tripoli is actively seeking information about “Pakistani affectees.” This incident follows a tragic event last month where 80 passengers drowned near Morocco, with 13 confirmed dead and over 40 reportedly murdered by human traffickers.
The embassy has dispatched a team to Zawiya hospital to assist local authorities in identifying the deceased. The Crisis Management Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been activated to monitor the situation.

Last week, the bodies of 29 migrants were recovered in Libya, highlighting the ongoing crisis as the country remains a transit route for migrants fleeing conflict and poverty.
