Iraqi forces have confirmed in a statement the death of six ISIS members, including the so-called deputy governor of Kirkuk, during a targeted operation, Iraqi News Agency reported today.
The Counter-Terrorism Service, in coordination with the Kirkuk Operations Command, discovered the bodies at a hideout struck by Iraqi F-16 aircraft. The strike was part of a preemptive operation aimed at neutralizing an imminent terrorist threat.
“These operations, supported by precise intelligence, continue to deliver significant results in eliminating the remnants of ISIS,” the statement added, emphasizing Iraq’s commitment to eradicating the terrorist group.
