Uzbekistan launches free cancer screenings for women
Uzbekistan will offer free biennial cancer screenings to women aged 30 to 65, covering diagnostic and treatment costs for confirmed cases under a presidential decree signed on November 22, local news outlets reported.
The initiative aims to strengthen cancer detection and control nationwide. Screening for cervical cancer in women aged 30 to 50 will include advanced HPV testing methods.
Healthcare facilities will be upgraded with onco-control rooms, mammography units, and a centralized mammogram reading center. Non-state clinics will also support screening efforts.
