Grand Ayatollah Shirazi: Nawasib Are Considered Infidels
On Tuesday, the 8th of Jumada al-Awwal, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Hosseini Shirazi led his daily scholarly session in his honourable residence.
As in previous meetings, the Supreme Marja addressed various jurisprudential questions posed by attendees.
In discussing the ruling regarding the Nawasib and enemies of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), Grand Ayatollah Shirazi stated that anyone who is a Nasibi and harbors animosity towards the Ahl al-Bayt is to be regarded as an infidel.
His Eminence emphasized, referencing the Ziyarat Ashura, that the Nawasib are among the enemies of God and the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family).
Furthermore, he asserted that even if an individual insults the Ahl al-Bayt in private gatherings, they are considered an infidel.
Grand Ayatollah Shirazi clarified that while the majority of Sunni Muslims are not Nawasib, anyone who insults the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) is deemed an infidel and an apostate.
