Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Prohibits Attributing Lies to Ma’sumeen to Prove Their Power

The daily scholarly session of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Hosseini Shirazi was held on Tuesday, the 10th of Rabi’ al-Thani. As in previous sessions, the Supreme Marja responded to attendees’ questions regarding various jurisprudential issues.

Regarding the servitude of the Infallibles, peace be upon them, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi stated: “In the Holy Quran and in many narrations from the Infallibles, including in the supplication of the month of Rajab, it is mentioned that there is no difference between the Infallibles and other human beings in terms of all being servants of God.”

His Eminence further explained that Almighty God has granted some of the abilities and powers that He Himself possesses to the 14 Infallibles.

He emphasized that there is no difference in the ability to perform tasks between Almighty God and the Infallibles; the only distinction is that God is the Creator, while the Infallibles are His servants and creations.

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi added: “To prove the power of the Infallibles, we should not attribute lies to them or fabricate anything.”
