Aid to Gaza at Lowest Level in Months: UN Reports

Aid entering Gaza has reached its lowest level in months, with no food parcels delivered since October 1, according to a UN spokesman, Xinhua reported yesterday.

Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman for the UN secretary-general, stated that critical aid lifelines into northern Gaza have been cut off, leaving many kitchens and distribution points at risk of closure.

The World Food Programme (WFP) has distributed its last remaining food stocks, which are expected to last only two weeks. The situation in southern Gaza is similarly dire, with bakeries struggling to secure wheat flour.

Humanitarian organizations, including UNRWA, are providing bread and cooked meals, but access remains severely limited. The UN Children’s Fund warned that displacement orders in northern Gaza are forcing tens of thousands of children onto the roads, while protection services and malnutrition treatment for about 1,000 children have been suspended. In the West Bank, recurrent Israeli operations have compromised access to clean water for nearly 92,000 people.
