Grand Ayatollah Shirazi: Problems in Islamic countries are due to straying from essence of Islam
The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, attributed the deficiencies and problems currently faced by Islamic countries to their superficial adherence to the name and slogan of Islam, without reflecting the practical reality of its teachings.
In a detailed speech published on his official website, the Grand Marja pointed out that this situation reflects a distancing of Islamic societies from the true values of the religion, which contributes to the exacerbation of the crises and issues they confront.
His Eminence emphasized the importance of adhering to the teachings of Islam both in word and action, stressing that this commitment was the approach of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family, as well as that of Imam Ali and the pure Imams, peace be upon them.
The Supreme Religious Authority also called for the necessity of enhancing religious awareness among youth and Islamic communities through education and cultural initiatives, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of Islamic teachings and their application in daily life.
He affirmed that the future of the Islamic nation depends on its ability to return to the authentic teachings of Islam and adhere to them in all aspects of life, considering this as the path to achieving peace and stability.
