New AI Tool Ask Silver Helps UK Users Combat Online Scams

A new AI-powered tool, Ask Silver, has been launched in the UK to help users identify safe text messages and combat online scams, the Express Tribune reported yesterday.

Accessible via WhatsApp, Ask Silver functions as a regular contact after users sign up. When a suspicious text is received, users can upload a screenshot for instant analysis, allowing them to determine its safety.

Beyond WhatsApp, the tool also enables users to share screenshots of dubious emails and messages from websites, providing comprehensive protection against various scams. Ask Silver not only assesses content but also offers guidance on reporting fraudulent messages.

The initiative is backed by Get Safe Online, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to online safety.
