Six Killed, Seven Injured in Hunan Bridge Crash

A tragic accident on Lusong Bridge in Zhuzhou, Hunan province, resulted in six fatalities and seven injuries early Monday morning, Dawn reported yesterday.

Police reported that a car lost control after being rear-ended, veering into oncoming traffic and colliding with bikes and other vehicles.

Footage shared on social media captured the chaos as a large white van sped through the bridge, scattering debris and prompting a swift emergency response, with at least four ambulances dispatched to the scene.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash, as deadly traffic incidents are not uncommon in China, often attributed to lax safety standards and reckless driving behaviors. Earlier this month, another incident in Shandong province involved a school bus that lost control, tragically killing 11 parents and students outside a middle school.
