Sudan: Two Killed, 10 Injured in RSF Artillery Attack in Omdurman
On September 18, an artillery attack by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to 10 others in Omdurman, located north of Khartoum, Xinhua reported yesterday.
The Khartoum State Health Ministry reported that the shelling targeted densely populated areas in the Karari locality. Those injured were transported to Al-Nao and Sawaed hospitals for treatment.
The RSF has yet to comment on the incident. Since the outbreak of conflict on April 15, 2023, between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the RSF, the violence has claimed at least 16,650 lives and displaced millions, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.
