Holy Najaf receives over 12M pilgrims during Holy Arba’een Pilgrimage

The Governor of Holy Najaf announced on Monday the success of plans for the Holy Arbaeen Pilgrimage, confirming that the province received more than 12 million pilgrims. Meanwhile, the Secretariat-General of Grand Kufa Mosque reported welcoming over nine million pilgrims.

This announcement was made during a press conference attended by Shia Waves Agency correspondent, where Governor Youssef Kanawi stated, “The people of Najaf have once again demonstrated their ability to organize, show generosity, and provide for pilgrims,” noting that “the number of pilgrims exceeded 12 million during the Holy Arbaeen.”

In a related context, Deputy Secretary of Kufa Mosque Dhulfiqar Al-Haidari confirmed that “the Grand Mosque welcomed over 9 million pilgrims during the Holy Arbaeen Pilgrimage,” reflecting the significant participation in commemorating this great religious occasion.
