IHC, Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation distribute drinking water to Holy Arbaeen pilgrims
As part of their ongoing humanitarian and service projects for the Holy Arba’een Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, the UK-based Imam Hussein Charity (IHC) and Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development have begun distributing drinking water to the pilgrims arriving to commemorate this significant occasion.
The directors of the two organizations told Shia Waves Agency: “Continuing our service and humanitarian projects during the Arba’een pilgrimage, we have started a project to distribute drinking water to the pilgrims arriving in Holy Karbala.”
They explained that this initiative is particularly timely, as pilgrims are facing a noticeable rise in temperatures, increasing the need for large amounts of water,” adding that the organizations not only distributed water to the pilgrims but also provide significant quantities to mosques, husseiniyas hosting pilgrims, as well as to mourning Mawakib.”
It should be mentioned that this initiative is in line with the instructions of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq Al-Husseini Al-Shirazi, who always stresses the importance of providing all forms of support and services to the pilgrims on their way to Holy Karbala or within the holy city during the Arba’een Pilgrimage.
