Indian Troops Accused of Killing Six Kashmiri Youth in Kulgam
In the latest incident of alleged state violence, Indian troops have been accused of killing six Kashmiri youth in the Kulgam district of Indian-controlled Jammu and Kashmir, Kashmir Media Service reported today.
According to the source, the youth were killed by Indian troops during cordon and search operations in the Mudergham and Frisal Chinnigan areas of the district. Four of the youth were killed in Chingam Frisal, while two bodies were later found in the debris of a house destroyed by Indian troops in Modergham.
The report also states that earlier, two Indian troops were killed in attacks in the Mudergham and Frisal Chinnigan areas of Kulgam.
Separately, an Indian army man was injured in an attack on an Army camp in the Galuthi Manjakote area of Rajouri district. The freedom fighters reportedly managed to flee into the nearby forest.
Massive military operations are said to be ongoing in various areas of Kulgam, Rajouri, Poonch, and Samba as tensions continue in the region.
