Georgia’s Peace Cathedral Hosts Interfaith Lecture on Eid al-Ghadir

The Peace Cathedral in Tbilisi, Georgia is the world’s first grassroots project to combine a mosque, synagogue, and church under one roof.

Its founder, Archbishop Malkhaz Songulashvili, is an avid promoter of interfaith dialogue and peaceful coexistence between people of all Abrahamic faiths.

Among the unique practices of this church is the recitation of the Holy Quran as a ritual to encourage better understanding of shared values of Divine religions.

Malkhaz Songulashvili, Georgia’s Archbishop, has shown deep respect for the Master of the Martyrs by attending the blessed Arba’een Walk and visiting his Holy Shrine several times. He has also given interviews on his amazing experience as a pilgrim of Imam al-Hussein, peace be upon him.

Recently, Sayed Hossein Mousavi Ahvazi, a member of Imam Hussein Media Group, was invited to the Peace Cathedral on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir to present a lecture on the Shiites. The lecture focused on the peaceful coexistence of Islam and Christianity in Georgia.
