Grand Ayatollah Shirazi remarks on Raj’a of Ahlul-Bayt during daily scholarly meeting

The daily scholarly meeting of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Sadiq al-Hosseini al-Shirazi was held on Tuesday, the 16th of Sha’ban. In this session, like the previous meetings, the Marja answered the questions of the attendees about various jurisprudential issues.

Regarding the treatment of Imam al-Hujjat with Jewish and Christian scholars after his reappearance, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said: It is mentioned in the traditions that after the Imam shows the original authentic Torah and Gospel in which his name has been recorded to the Jewish and Christian scholars, the Jews and Christians become Muslims, and only those who falsely claim themselves to be Muslims will fight with the Imam of the Time.

His Eminence continued: It is mentioned in the hadiths that Imam al-Hujjat sends representatives to the whole world, just like today all lands have ambassadors and representatives in other countries. During their rule, the Messenger of God and Amir al-Mu’minin, who ruled over half of the known world, also dispatched representatives to different regions.

Regarding the Raj’a (the Return) of the Infallibles, peace be upon them, after the reappearance of Imam al-Hujjat, the Supreme Marja said: It is mentioned in the hadiths that there is a Raj’a for all the 14 Ma’sumeen, peace be upon them, and all these noble personalities will rule justly, just like the government that existed during the time of the Holy Prophet and Amirul Momineen.

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi further said: When Imam al-Hujjat will be martyred, it is mentioned in the narration that Imam al-Hussain will have Raj’a, coming back to life and exiting his grave. He will prepare the blessed body of Imam al-Mahdi for burial with all the rituals and will place it in his own grave. Imam al-Hussein will rule for many years, and after that he passes away, the Holy Prophet and Amir al-Momineen will have Raj’a.
