Al-Aqeela Hospital in Holy Karbala to be inaugurated in 2025, health minister says
The Iraqi Health Minister Saleh Al-Hasnawi announced today that the Al-Aqeela Hospital in the holy city of Karbala is set to be completed by the beginning of next year, with a capacity of 300 beds.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Health, Minister Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi and his accompanying delegation conducted an inspection visit to the project of the 300-bed Al-Aqeela Hospital for women and children in Karbala, accompanied by the Director General of Health in Karbala, Dr. Sabah Al-Mousawi.
Al-Hasnawi stated that his visit to the project is part of the government’s priorities to monitor ongoing hospital projects and expand health services. He noted that during a tour of the hospital’s departments, he reviewed the progress of the work, with 45% completion reported.
He called on the staff to expedite the work in order to complete it by the scheduled date at the beginning of next year. This hospital is expected to represent a new addition and a significant development in the level and quality of services provided to the residents and visitors of the province.
