Holy Kazimiyyah Shrine to welcome millions of pilgrims on martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Kazim
The Holy Kazimiyyah Shrine announced its readiness to welcome millions of pilgrims for the commemoration ceremony of the martyrdom of Imam al-Kazim (peace be upon him).
The Deputy Secretary General of the Kazimiyyah Shrine and Chairman of the Holy Shrine Committee said that all the necessary plans have been developed and all required services have been provided by the relevant officials from the Baghdad Municipality, the Ministries of Health and Transportation, and the People’s Mobilization Organization.
The Holy Shrines of Imam Musa al-Kazem and Imam al-Jawad, peace be upon them, is being prepared for the martyrdom anniversary ceremony of Imam Musa Kazem, peace be upon him.
It is expected that on this day, about 10 million pilgrims will reach the Kazimayn area in Baghdad to participate in this ceremony.
Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani ordered the closure of all ministries and government institutions in Baghdad on Tuesday, January 6th, to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Musa al-Kazim (peace be upon him).
“The city of Kazimayn is ready to receive pilgrims from different regions, including pilgrims from Iran and Arab countries, India, Lebanon and Pakistan, with figures expected to exceed 10 million pilgrims due to upcoming holidays and mild spring-like weather.” said Saad Al-Hajjieh, the deputy secretary general of the Holy Kazimiyyah Shrine, in a news conference.
