Holy Karbala celebrates blessed birth anniversary of Imam Ali

The holy city of Karbala has witnessed an atmosphere of joy and happiness as the anniversary of the birth of Amir al-Mu’minin, peace be upon him, is approaching.

Banners of joy and happiness were hung at the shrines of Imam Hussein and his brother Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon them, and many visitors from inside and outside Iraq came to pay their respects and celebrate this auspicious occasion.

The holy shrines of Imam Hussein and Abbas, as well as Hussainiyyas and Islamic centers, will celebrate the auspicious occasion of the blessed birth of Imam Ali, peace be upon him.

The holy city of Karbala is known for its active religious atmosphere during this time, with visitors from various Iraqi provinces, as well as Arab and foreign visitors, coming to visit the holy shrines and offer congratulations on the birth of the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him.

Such massive celebrations were established by the Shirazi Supreme Religious Authority, and festivals have been held since the time of the late Imam Sayyid Muhammad Hussein Shirazi and his brother, the great thinker, martyr Sayyid Hasan Shirazi, may Allah Almighty bless their souls, as well as the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Hussaini al-Shirazi.
