The World Nonviolence Organization, Free Muslim, has received with great dismay the news coming from the State of Ethiopia, in regards to the authorities’ intention to ‘crush dissent and political opposition’, expressing its strong condemnation of reprisals and violations committed.

According to human rights data seen by the organization, the authorities recently executed 39 people without conducting a fair trial, which represents a blatant crime that violates all the rules of war and human rights standards.

The organization calls on the United Nations International Commission to conduct a transparent investigation to uncover the circumstances of this violation and other crimes that may have occurred on Ethiopian soil, whether they were crimes committed by official or opposition forces, calling on the Ethiopian authorities at the same time to adhere to human rights standards.
