Bahraini authorities continue their attack on Ashura in various parts of the country

Heavily armed forces, accompanied by members of the Bahraini security services, attacked the atmospheres of Ashura, marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussain, peace be upon him, by removing black signs and banners in different areas in Bahrain.

The security authorities ordered the removal of the camp where the mourning ceremonies are being held in the old Bilad area, while removing Ashura banners and signs in the areas of Saar and al-Markh, the al-Lola’a Channel reported.

The Muharraq police station has asked the processions to remove all manifestations of black in the city in continuation of the series of restrictions on Shia religious rituals, especially during the commemoration of Ashura.

Bahraini Interior Minister Rashid bin Abdullah al-Khalifa had claimed in a meeting that the freedom of religious practice is guaranteed to all in accordance with the country's established traditions and within the framework of the law, while his forces are working to attack them.
