The Mesbah al-Hussein Foundation for Humanitarian Relief in Karbala called on the Iraqi government to remove the visa and its cost for Arab and foreign pilgrims during Arbaeen pilgrimage.

In its letter to the supreme authorities in Iraq, which was received by the Shiawaves, the foundation said “the letter came out of the principles and human values inspired by the message of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and because Allah, the Almighty, honored our homeland with embracing the holy sites and its visitors,” pointing out “the generosity of Iraqi Husseini people, which is unrivaled in providing all the necessary needs during the pilgrimages to Ahlulbait, peace be upon them.”

The letter demanded, “Your Excellency, we have placed in your hands the request to remove the visa or its cost for all pilgrims, to the Arabs and foreigners, during the Arbaeen pilgrimage starting this year and, taking into account the difficult economic conditions of many people, as it is in the Hajj and religious events in some countries and to countries that host the World Cup, in order to facilitate the entry of pilgrims and to revitalization of Iraqi trade, in addition to its contribution to reducing the unemployment rate among the Iraqi people with thanks and appreciation.”

The letter came in accordiance with the commandments of the Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, may Allah prolong his life, in his speech when he demanded that all borders removed for the lovers of Ahlulbait, peace be upon them.
