A leader of Ansar al-Imam al-Hussein, peace be upon him, forces said that more than 750 fighters of the force participated in securing the pilgrimage of Arbaeen in the holy city of Karbala.
Al-Mutairi said that the plan included 750 fighters from the forces of Ansar al-Imam al-Hussein, peace be upon him, brigade to protect the city by distributing them on the roads leading to the old city well as visitor checkpoints. The plan also included the provision of medical detachments and vehicles for transporting the pilgrims.
He added that 450 fighters were also deployed in the first line of the holy city of Karbala in Ain al-Tamr district to secure the city from any external threat. He stressed that all Popular Mobilization Units have secured the city and external neighborhoods in cooperation with the security forces and the province is safe and stable for millions of pilgrims to revive the pilgrimage of Arbaeen.
