Malaysia Int’l Quran Contest to wrapped up yesterday

The 61st edition of Malaysia’s international Quran competition concluded in an awarding ceremony on Saturday night.

 

The 61st edition of Malaysia’s international Quran competition concluded in an awarding ceremony on Saturday night.

According to media dispatches, the last group of contenders went on the stage Friday night to showcase their talents in memorization and recitation of the Quran.

There were a total of 8 contestants in the men’s and women’s section on the last night of the competition.

They represented Palestine, Bangladesh, Australia, Egypt, Mauritius, and the Philippines.

As many as 107 Qaris and Quran memorizers from 71 countries have been competing in the international Quranic event in Kuala Lumpur.

Winners will be announced at the closing ceremony, which is expected to be attended by Malaysia’s king and other senior officials.
