Seminary Students in Najaf condemn insulting Ayatollah Shirazi and call foundations, institutions to intervene

The students Al-Hawza, seminary, in Najaf condemned the renewal of insults against the Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, calling on the Seminary Foundation to intervene urgently in the release of Ayatollah Hussein al-Shirazi.

The seminary students have issued a statement that says “media have published that the renewal of insults against the Shirazi religious authority through sticking posters, that violate the sanctity of the Iraqi, Karbalai religious authority, on the walls of the seminary in Qom, and compelling seminary students to sign on the posters as a matter of support.”

The statement added that “Such an insult to the religious authority is a violation of the sanctity of the history of the seminaries in Najaf, Karbala, the holy Samarra and the holy Qom,” calling on “those involved to put an end to this conflict, which may affect the seminary curricula that were preserved with huge sacrifices of the previous scholars. “

The statement called on “Seminary foundations to intervene urgently in the release of the kidnapped prisoner of the free word, Ayatollah Sayyid Hussein Al-Shirazi, and if there is any disagreement, the dialogue is open under the eyes of the scholars of the Hawza, seminary.”
