HRW releases its May report, documenting 21 anti-Shia incidents worldwide

Shia Rights Watch (HRW)—an international human rights organization—has documented 21 incidents of violation against followers of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in 6 different countries during the past month of May.

In its report seen by Shia Waves Agency, HRW stated that it “documented the most significant human rights violations against Shia in six countries worldwide, namely Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Serbia.”

The organization added that its report relied “on its own sources and some public sources, such as individuals and groups active in the field of freedom and human rights in the countries where these violations occurred.”

It also noted that it refrained from “mentioning some violations due to the absence of conclusive evidence, despite being certain of the occurrence of such violations in some countries.”

The report recorded three violations in Afghanistan, five in Pakistan, two in Bahrain, two in Saudi Arabia, eight in Iraq, and one in Serbia. These violations were in the form of armed attacks, planting explosive devices, executions, and arbitrary arrests.

According to this report, hostility against followers of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, is escalating in various countries around the world, especially in areas where terrorist and extremist groups and dictatorial regimes are dominating.
