Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi announces tomorrow as first of holy month of Dhuʻl-Hijjah

The office of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, has announced that tomorrow Saturday—corresponding to 8 June 2024—marks the first of the month of Dhu’l-Hijjah, 1445 AH.

The office said in a statement: “The crescent of the month of Dhu’l-Hijjah was sighted, and therefore; it is proven by His Eminence that tomorrow Saturday is the first day of the twelfth month of the Hijri calendar – Dhu’l-Hijjah.”
