Shia followers of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, commemorated on Saturday the martyrdom of one of the icons of the Shia Renaissance, His Eminence Ayatollah Hassan al-Shirazi (may Allah shower him with mercy, who was assassinated by the treacherous Ba’ath regime on the 16th of Jum\u0101d\u0101 al-\u0100khirah in (1400 AH), after years of fight against disbelief, atheism, and the corruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to statements received by Shia Waves Agency, Shia believers confirmed that “The martyred Ayatollah Hassan al-Shirazi, may Allah shower him with mercy, is the epitome of sacrifice and devotion for the sake of keeping the spirit of Islam alive, at a time when the corrupt and enemies of religion conspired against the Islamic nation”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They explained that “the late Ayatollah Sayyed Hassan al-Shirazi embodied the words and teachings of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in a realistic and profound way, and he struggled to defend Shia Islam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They pointed out that he “spared no effort, energy, word, money, or time in order to support the nation and raise the word of Islam, until his martyrdom.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His Eminence was assassinated by the Ba’ath regime in Iraq; while he was in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, in the year (1400 AH – 1980 AD), after exposing the falsehood and brutality of this oppressive regime.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
