Kaduna Governor Uba Sani said civilians were \u201cmistakenly killed and many others were wounded\u201d by a drone \u201ctargeting terrorists and bandits\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amnesty International\u2019s Nigeria office said 120 people were killed in the attack, citing reports of its workers and volunteers in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The attack was the latest in recent errant bombings of residents in Nigeria\u2019s troubled regions; between February 2014, when a Nigerian military aircraft dropped a bomb on Daglun in Borno state killing 20 civilians, and September 2022, there were at least 14 documented incidences of such bombings in residential areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" src=\"https:\/\/shiawaves.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2023\/12\/656f5547dc644.image_-1024x684.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-99014\" srcset=\"https:\/\/shiawaves.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2023\/12\/656f5547dc644.image_-1024x684.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/shiawaves.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2023\/12\/656f5547dc644.image_-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/shiawaves.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2023\/12\/656f5547dc644.image_-768x513.jpg 768w, https:\/\/shiawaves.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2023\/12\/656f5547dc644.image_.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Investigations have been ordered after a Nigerian army drone accidentally bombed a religious procession in northern Kaduna, killing at least 85 people, including women and children.
