Jalil Ibrahim Al-Sabbagh, assistant director of Sewage Directorate of Holy Karbala, said in a press interview that &#8220;the plant is being built in the Hor Mansour region and is expected to be completed in 2024,&#8221; adding that &#8220;it will have a capacity of 16,000 cubic meters per hour, which is enough to treat all the sewage that is transported from the city of Karbala.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to experts, the project is also expected to serve many neighborhoods of Holy Karbala, including Al-Mamalaji and Al-Muallimin neighborhoods; as they are located in the lowest point of the city and are prone to flooding.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Sewage Directorate in Holy Karbala is implementing one of the most important projects in the Middle East which is a giant sewage treatment plant with a capacity of 400,000 cubic meters per hour in Karbala, Iraq.
