{"id":97353,"date":"2023-10-12T17:55:29","date_gmt":"2023-10-12T14:55:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shiawaves.com\/english\/?p=97353"},"modified":"2023-10-12T17:55:34","modified_gmt":"2023-10-12T14:55:34","slug":"germany-arrests-iraqi-man-suspected-of-committing-war-crimes-with-isis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shiawaves.com\/english\/uncategorized\/97353-germany-arrests-iraqi-man-suspected-of-committing-war-crimes-with-isis\/","title":{"rendered":"Germany arrests Iraqi man suspected of committing war crimes with ISIS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>German authorities on Wednesday arrested an Iraqi man accused of involvement in the killing of prisoners and the amputation of a person&#8217;s hand in his homeland as a member of the Islamic State group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The suspect, identified only as Abdel J.S. in line with German privacy rules, was arrested in the western city of Wuppertal, federal prosecutors said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is accused of membership in a foreign terrorist organization and participation in war crimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prosecutors said in a statement that he joined IS by June 2014 and in the following months participated twice in the extremist group&#8217;s &#8220;draconian public punishments.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In one case, they said, he was involved in the execution of at least six prisoners.
