Secretariat of Imam Hussein Shrine and other holy shrines in Iraq attended a meeting held in the Prime Minister\u2019s Office regarding the construction of a monorail between the two provinces of Najaf and Karbala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Representative of Imam Hussein Shrine said during a press conference that the meeting was chaired by the Prime Minister\u2019s Office and was attended by representatives of holy shrines and other people involved in the construction of the monorail connecting the two provinces of Najaf and Karbala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ahmad Hassan Al-Fahd added that: \u201cIt is expected that the starting point of this train will be from Najaf al-Ashraf. It will pass through 4 stations to reach Karbala Airport and Sayyida Judeh area in this province.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also noted that this train, with a capacity of 1500 passengers, will be operating 6 to 8 meters from the ground. It will travel at a speed of about 150 to 250 kilometers per hour, which means that the distance from Najaf to Karbala will be covered within 15 to 20 minutes. The train will have VIP carriages as well as women\u2019s and children\u2019s carriages, and has two separate lines for travel and return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe name of the train will be \u2018Al-Buraq\u2019 or \u2018Fitrus\u2019,\u201d Al-Fahd continued, adding that it is expected to connect to the Baghdad train near pole number 132.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA special committee headed by \u2018Nasser Al-Asadi\u2019, the Prime Minister\u2019s adviser on transportation affairs, will travel to Karbala tomorrow to carry out the necessary field visit and investigation in coordination with the governors of Karbala and Najaf.\u201d He said in the end.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
