He endured 12 hours of torture while tied to a pole, pleading for mercy. The disturbing incident was captured on video and widely shared on social media, showing him being coerced into chanting &#8220;Jai Sri Ram,&#8221; a Hindu slogan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tragically, Ansari&#8217;s condition worsened, and he died while in police custody, prompting public outrage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a thorough investigation, twelve individuals were arrested, and ten were found guilty of culpable homicide not amounting to murder. They were each sentenced to ten years in prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ansari&#8217;s wife expressed her dissatisfaction with the sentence and plans to appeal for a harsher penalty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This case sheds light on the increasing number of vigilante attacks against minority Muslims in India, raising concerns about the government&#8217;s response to such incidents.
