It was organized in partnership with the Flint Muslim Food Pantry, American Muslim Community Services and the Stockbridge Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Adil Mohammed, executive director of American Muslim Community Services, said it\u2019s part of a series of events made possible by a grant received from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. This is the third food distribution event held by the organizations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe food is free for anybody, there\u2019s no income restrictions,\u201d Mohammed said. \u201cThis is something special being done because of COVID-19.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mohammed encourages the community to spread the word of the free food distribution series.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thousands of boxes of dairy products and fresh produce were distributed Saturday, July 11, at the Courtland Center Mall parking lot in Burton to all who need it.
