The clashes took place in the Cheshmaye Shir and Bagh-e-Shamal areas on the Baghlan \u2013 Samangan highway after the Taliban attacked the security forces, said sources.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe highway was closed to traffic for several hours and four Afghan forces humvees were also damaged in the fighting,\u201d sources added.<\/p>\n
Local security officials did not provide details on the casualties of the security forces in the clashes.<\/p>\n
Nabiullah Nabi, a military commander in Baghlan, said that the Taliban have also suffered of casualties in the clashes but there is no exact report yet.<\/p>\n
