The demonstration started on Friday, May 26, after Friday Prayers by the Muslim community of the city against the destruction of mosques in the newly established city of Shaggar, which was previously known as Urmia’s Special Zone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The protesters demanded an end to the demolition of mosques in this city.According to the statement of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs of Urmia region, 19 mosques have been illegally destroyed in Shaggar city alone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
