Thirteen people, including six soldiers and a civilian, were killed, and six hostages were injured in a clearance operation at a military compound in Pakistan\u2019s southwest Baluchistan province, according to a military statement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The operation was completed on Saturday morning after the terrorists attacked the compound of paramilitary troops\u2019 frontier corps in northern Baluchistan on Friday morning, the military\u2019s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in the statement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack but ethnic Baloch separatist groups have for decades waged a rebellion against the state in the south-western province, frequently targeting security forces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
ISPR said that the militants had not even spared children, confirming that all six of them were killed in the clearance operation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In January, a suicide bomber linked to Pakistan’s Taliban blew himself up in a mosque inside a police compound in the north-western city of Peshawar, killing more than 80 officers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
