In its 2022 report, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) said that climate change forced millions of people out of their houses in 2022, causing a severe food insecurity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Organization added in its report that, “While greenhouse gas emissions continue to rise and the climate continues to change, populations worldwide continue to be heavily affected by extreme weather and climate events.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Secretary-General of WMO, Petteri Taalsa, said in a statement that, “In 2022, ongoing drought in East Africa, unprecedented rainfall in Pakistan and record-breaking temperatures in China and Europe impacted tens of millions, caused food insecurity and mass migration.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
