Over 1,000 of the most vulnerable refugees who fled clashes in Somalia\u2019s Lascanood city are being transported to a camp site in Bokh district, Ethiopia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The relocation is organized by Ethiopia\u2019s Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS) with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Refugee families are provided with a tent and other essential relief items to set up a new home across 400 hectares of land allocated by the Ethiopian government and developed with the help of local volunteers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The site provides services, such as health care, water and education. Since mid-February, thousands of refugees have arrived in Ethiopia’s Somali region to escape ongoing clashes in their home country, mostly older people, women and children. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
