This year\u2019s Ramadan coincides with the longest drought ever in Somalia, where many families have been forced to break the fast on water and insufficient quantity of food, according to the “Associated Press”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The news agency pointed out that more than one million Somalis fled their homes to the displacement camps around the capital, Mogadishu, for lack of aid, while as many as 43,000 people died in 2022 alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the month of Ramadan arrived, the price of food in Somalia, which is actually suffering from inflation caused in part by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the lack of local crops due to five consecutive seasons without rain, as well as the death of millions of cattle, which is considered essential in people’s food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
