The Indian newspaper \u2018Rising Kashmir\u2019 said in an article it published on its official website that, \u201cMuslims around the world are gearing up to celebrate Shab-e-Barat, also known as the ‘night of forgiveness’, a significant festival observed on the 14th and 15th night of Sha’aban, the eighth month in the Islamic calendar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year, the celebrations will take place from March 7 to 8.\u201d \u201cThis festival is marked with great enthusiasm across South Asia, including countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Central Asian countries such as Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan\u201d, the newspaper added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The history of Shab-e-Barat or the \u2018night of forgiveness’ dates back to the time when the twelfth Imam Muhammad al-Mahdi, may Allah bring forward his honourable reappearance, was born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
