The court charged blogger Amna al-Sharqi, 26, with \u201charming sacred things, attacking good morals and inciting violence.\u201d<\/p>\n
On Monday, Al-Sharqi published a topic about the Corona Virus called \u201cCorona Surat\u201d, which caused a state of controversy among the pioneers of social networking sites in Tunisia, and some described it as \u201cinflammatory\u201d and \u201cdisrespectful\u201d.<\/p>\n
This post made a lot of noise, as the judicial police intervened after consulting the Public Prosecution, and then the matter was referred to the Criminal Court at the Court of First Instance.<\/p>\n
A number of Tunisian activists had posted on Facebook, in the name of the young woman, Amna Al Sharqi, after sharing a picture of what she described as \u201cSurat Korona\u201d.<\/p>\n
The controversial picture mimics the form of the Qur\u2019anic verses in the Qur\u2019an, and this is what many saw as a \u201cdistortion of the Qur\u2019an and a provocation to the feelings of Tunisians\u201d especially in the month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n
The commentators also poured out their anger on the young woman, stole her tongue, and later celebrated her transfer to court.<\/p>\n
Then the young woman published a new post in which she responded to the threats and death messages she received, so she wrote: \u201cI did not offend anyone. The image you published is not a distortion of the Qur\u2019an. It does not include words from the Qur\u2019an or the name of God.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
